Ready to welcome old and new friends, close and distant relatives. Moments where the only thing that matters is being together and enjoying each other’s company.

It was there, around tables lovingly set, that Grandpa Luigi, intentionally or not, passed on his love for good food to his grandson.

Luigi Gentile from Lucera (Foggia), born in 1989, was very young when he realized that cooking would be his life. He first entered the kitchen to fulfill those small dreams every young person needs: to be and feel independent, free.

But soon, those hours spent behind the stove would become a much bigger dream to pursue.

He attended culinary school and then got an opportunity for a season in the Marche region – first as a chef and then as a pizzaiolo – to prove his worth. There, for several years, he grew both as a professional and as a man.

Luigi dreamed of returning to his Puglia, feeling that its unique products could tell many good and fascinating stories.

A job offer in Monopoli was the right opportunity. And after three and a half years of working in the Adriatic city, he felt ready to realize his big dream.

Thus, with the support of his family, Cirasella was born.

A place that Luigi calls “his secret diary,” where he can shape his idea of pizza and cuisine.

To once again feel the warmth he learned from Grandpa Luigi as a child.
